Cleoni Crawford
Founder and CEO
My name is Cleoni Crawford, simply @onlycleoni on instagram and I am a Christian, Mental Health Advocate, Minister, Brand Ambassador, best selling author, mother, Podcaster, Speaker and Serial Entrepreneur. I've been a marketplace minister since 2007 when I started my first business as a fashion designer for the company C-virtue where I made modest clothing for women that were fashion forward. I've been featured on 100 Huntley Street, Toronto Life, Rogers TV, Global TV, CTV, CBC, The Dialog, SMJ Magazine, Shimerzine Magazine, YorkU Magazine, The North York Mirror and Authority Magazine. I am no stranger to media. I've suffered many loses over the past years from my sister, her best friend, my cousin, my aunt and most recently the death of my father. I have been hospitalized 31 times, sent to prison twice, suicidal, homeless, forced to flee my home, a target of the police and was attacked by the US Border Services Agency.
I was also raped by a Nigerian pastor in my home while my autistic son slept. I am a black woman who has not been protected. I have had my son taken away from me twice by Children's Aid and am currently working with the Canadian Mental Health Association as a client with the ACTT team overseen by Dr. Kumar Naidu and formerly Dr. Anne Ferguson. Despite this, I have managed to turn my life around. I am a podcaster of 80 episodes to the podcast Resilient Minds 365, Mental Health advocate, University of Toronto Graduate, George Brown College Graduate, Graduate of the Addictions of Mental Health Program, and future tech developer for a new global app for faith based believers.
I am writing this petition today because I demand a global apology from my government, CANADA, Justin Trudeau and the AMERICAN GOVERNMENT, and the Nigerian Government, President Tinubu for how I was treated by its residents. I am a BIPOC woman and I deserve to protected. Black woman deserve to be protected. You are probably wondering why this apology is important, it's because I had a criminal record and cannot travel freely to continue to advocacy work that I would like to do around the global. I appeal to you today to join me in this fight. I am you and you are me. We together, can do this.
